Good to know

Getting thereAbout 45 minutes south of Hurghada International Airport (HRG), within the secure Soma Bay peninsula enclave. Access is straightforward via resort shuttles or private taxis; free guest parking right at the 7 Bft Kite House station. The dedicated sandy beach in front of the center's beach club and launch lane is the primary access.
HazardsWind blows strictly offshore or side-offshore across the main flat-water lagoon spit โ€” any gear malfunction drifts you into deep water fast. A safety rescue pass from the local beach center is genuinely required, not optional, if you can't consistently hold upwind tracks.
Best time of dayMorning through midday, as the Red Sea thermal engine drives steady northerly wind that peaks early before occasionally turning gusty in the afternoon. Starting early beats the desert heat and gives glass-flat water inside the natural sand spit basin.
