Good to know

Getting thereAbout 30 minutes north of Hurghada International Airport (HRG), easily reached by airport taxi or pre-arranged shuttle. A car isn't needed within El Gouna โ€” local Tuk-Tuks handle gear transport to Mangroovy Beach. The access road leads directly to established kite stations like Element and RedSeaZone.
HazardsA large shallow lagoon, but low tide exposes sharp coral heads, rock shelves, and reef flats that can slice feet or break fins badly. Wear thick booties and follow the local stations' beach rules, which keep the active teaching zones clear.
Best time of dayMorning through midday, as the Red Sea thermal engine drives steady northerly wind that peaks early before sometimes dropping or turning gusty later. Starting early also beats the desert heat.
