Supported watches running the Windy Guide watch app load their session straight from the watch into the iPhone app — no file needed. Everyone else can follow one of the instructions below to get a file from their watch or phone.
Hoolan app (Garmin or Apple Watch)
Open the session in the Hoolan phone app, tap the three-dot menu at the top right of the session details screen, then choose "Export GPX File." Confirmed directly against Hoolan's own instructions — this is the same GPX format read here, so no conversion needed.
Garmin watch
On your phone or computer, open connect.garmin.com in a browser and sign in. Go to Activities, open the session, tap the more icon (⚙) in the top corner, then choose "Export to GPX." It downloads straight to your device.
Apple Watch
Apple doesn't offer a built-in export for this. Install any free "GPX export" app from the App Store (search "GPX export Apple Health") — it reads your workout and creates the file for you, right on your phone.
Samsung Galaxy Watch
In the Samsung Health app, go to Activity History and open the session, then tap the three dots in the top corner and choose "Export to GPX." Worth knowing: Samsung only offers this for Walking, Running, Cycling, and Hiking — kitesurfing usually isn't a supported type, so the option may not appear. Logging the session as Cycling is a common workaround if that happens.
Other Wear OS (Google Health / Fit)
Open the Google Health app (or Google Fit, if you haven't been moved over yet), go to the Fitness tab, open the activity, tap More, then Export. This gives you a TCX file rather than GPX — that's fine, upload it here as-is, it's read the same way.
Pre-filled from your default — change it any time in your profile settings.
