Good to know

Getting thereIn the hamlet of Pont-Mahé, Assérac. Free parking along the beach road on marked spots or larger lot at the start of the road; short walk to the sand. Launch on the left side facing the sea past the swimming zone and buffer area (near the campsite) from spring to end of summer.
HazardsNot rideable at low tide (insufficient water); launch space narrows at high tide especially with coefficients over 90. Outgoing current, crowds on good days, fast windsurfers, and marked swimming zones with yellow buoys that must be respected in season. Avoid launching too close to ganivelles.
Best time of dayFrom mid-tide upward (roughly 3.5-4 m water ideal; more for foil/wing). Best winds S to W, especially SW. Year-round but peak conditions often autumn and winter; summer has thermal potential and zone restrictions.
