Good to know

Getting thereAbout 35km west of Limassol, roughly 30 minutes from the city or 1 hour from Paphos International Airport. A car is mandatory — you exit the A6 at Paramali onto a bumpy, unpaved dirt track down to the coast. Rough, free dirt parking sits directly behind the pebble beach.
HazardsThis beach is a strictly protected nesting ground for loggerhead and green turtles — driving on the sand is forbidden, and kite schools operate under real local zoning rules, not just informal courtesy. The steep pebble shoreline causes a dumping shorebreak and deep water close to the coast, with no official public rescue service.
Best time of dayAfternoon, May-October, when the cross-shore Meltemi thermal builds reliably around 1pm and holds until sunset. Arrive as the thermal turns on to secure a rigging spot before it fills with local riders.
