Getting thereNorthwestern coast of Cyprus, about 1 hour from Ercan International Airport (ECN) or 1.5 hours from Larnaca via the highway. A car is completely mandatory for the coastal tracks; free dirt parking right behind the main beach dunes. The open sandy shoreline is the primary, unobstructed launch.
HazardsFaces the open Morphou Bay with a real shorebreak at high tide and genuine lateral undercurrent that strengthens during spring tides. Watch for hidden sandbars causing sudden wave steepness — no dedicated public marine safety or kite rescue infrastructure here.
