Getting thereSoutheastern Cyprus, about 40 minutes east of Larnaca International Airport (LCA) via the A3. A car is needed for gear; public and paid parking behind the beachfront resort tracks at Nissi Beach or Macronissos. Staging is from tight sandy openings away from the hotel zones.
HazardsHeavily congested with resort guests, jet skis, and speedboats in peak summer, and kite launching is genuinely prohibited in central zones, not just crowded. Avoid this area entirely in summer and head to nearby open beaches — watch for sharp volcanic reef rocks flanking the bays.
Best time of dayMorning to early afternoon, autumn through spring, when strong S or E frontal winds blow directly into the bay — clean shore tracking and wave sets, free of summer tourist crowds.
