Getting thereEastern side of the Akrotiri peninsula in Limassol, about 45 minutes from Paphos International Airport (PFO) or Larnaca Airport (LCA). A car is essential for the unpaved dirt tracks along the salt flats; free parking right next to the water. The wide beach near local beach clubs is the best entry.
HazardsAn extensive shallow sand shelf stretches several hundred meters — genuinely safe for training, but hydrofoil masts can strike bottom close to shore. Follow strict local zoning to stay clear of active commercial shipping lanes servicing the adjacent Limassol Port breakwaters.
Best time of dayAfternoon, May-September, when prevailing trades get thermally accelerated along the dry coast. Shifts cross-shore post-midday for steady tracking and flat water inside the harbor's protective curve.
