Regulated summer kite access via the K13 channel at the La Baule-Pornichet border in front of the Les Vagues buildings, allowing passage beyond the 300 m swimming line into the sheltered bay. Channel is for transit only; wingfoil must use separate boat channels.

Getting thereAccess at the limit between La Baule and Pornichet near the Les Vagues buildings, upwind of the Mazy jetty. Park along the seafront promenade (boulevard de la Plage/remblai) or adjacent streets; walk down stairs or paths to the wet-sand launch zone inside the channel.
HazardsStrict summer rules (mid-May/June to mid-September): channel open roughly 12:00-19:00 under lifeguard approval with min 6 knots, wet-sand launch only, no riding inside channel, stay beyond 300 m and 100 m from shore. Wingfoil banned in K13. Shorebreak, crowds, shared water with other craft, tidal currents, and possible legal issues if rules ignored. Reserved for autonomous riders.
