Good to know

Getting thereJust a 10-minute drive north of Marsa Alam International Airport (RMF). A car isn't needed if staying at the surrounding Madinat Coraya resorts, which have direct walking access to the beach. Staging is managed exclusively through the resort's water sports and diving centers.
HazardsA strictly monitored marine area with living coral reef walls on both sides โ€” riding over the coral is illegal and genuinely damaging, not just discouraged. The inner bay is sheltered but gusty; the outer zone has deep water, strong open-ocean swell, and no public rescue outside private resort boats.
Best time of dayMorning, when regional northerly trades blow at their cleanest, most consistent angle. Early sessions also avoid conflict with the daily schedule of dive boats and snorkeling excursions in the bay.
