Getting thereDrive to Walenstadt and park at the official paid lakeside parking lot. Walk 200 m along the shore to the Seez Delta. Launch only in the approved corridor north of the delta behind the large water pipe.
HazardsRestricted launch/landing corridor only; 150 m shore distance required elsewhere. Strong Seez river current with drowning risk. No kiting in front of Walenstadt or within 200 m of the campsite/harbor. Occasional shooting range closures. Lee effect and possible flooding at the beach.
Best time of daySummer afternoons from about 16:00-18:00 for thermal west winds; also after Föhn fronts for steady west winds. Spring (March-April) often productive. Come ashore if rain starts in Weesen.
