Getting thereComing from Kreuzlingen, about 200m past the railway crossing there's a restaurant and surf shop on the left — parking nearby. Walk along the road to the main spot, visible on the right looking at the lake. Don't drive down to the spot itself.
HazardsSW wind specifically is usually gusty here due to a local venturi effect from the terrain behind the village; west is somewhat cleaner. When the water's high there's practically no room to set up. Other directions like NW/N practically never occur here, so don't plan around them.
Best time of dayFor Bise (NE), the venturi effect is much smaller than for SW/W, so look for at least a 10kt forecast to make the trip worthwhile. For SW-W, even an 8kt forecast can be enough for a session, though expect gusts.
