Geneva's home kite spot, a grass launch on Lake Geneva's northwest shore where the Bise blows hard and there's a well-known rocky water entry to get past before the sailing opens up.

Getting thereBest reached from Geneva along the main road toward Versoix (Route de Lausanne) β coming from Lausanne is more complicated. Watch for a turnoff signed ChambΓ©sy after a set of bridges; there's a large parking lot there.
HazardsYou'll need to jump over large rocks to reach the water β a real obstacle, not just an inconvenience, and genuinely not suitable for beginners. A local kite school (allelements.ch) has a hut right at the spot and is the right call for anyone starting out. Wind is side-shore off the rocky entry, which keeps the water fairly flat but adds to the difficulty for less experienced riders. People do picnic here and leave litter β pack yours out.
Best time of dayWorks on SW and N-NE. Given the proximity to Geneva, Bise tends to funnel and hit harder here than elsewhere, though it also runs gustier than on the other side of the lake at Exenevex or Hermance.
