Good to know

Getting thereAbout 30 minutes south of Lobitos via unpaved desert sand tracks. A high-clearance 4x4 with sand recovery gear is completely mandatory for the remote coastal dunes; free off-road parking right next to the water. The wide, wild beach gives a completely unobstructed launch.
HazardsCompletely natural and undeveloped — no public amenities, lifeguards, or phone signal at all. Watch for real open-ocean shorebreak and point-break current sweeping riders downwind, with zero margin for safety errors and no rescue backup.
Best time of dayAfternoon, when equatorial trades get heavily accelerated by thermal suction from the dry desert interior. Steady side-onshore tracking, a genuinely reliable wave-riding spot for confident intermediate riders.
