Getting thereAbout 40 minutes south of Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) via Via Ostiense or the coastal road. A car is essential; lungomare street parking fills completely on summer weekends. Designated kite zones sit away from the central town piers, toward the dunes.
HazardsA moderate shorebreak at high tide and old wooden coastal defense posts hide just below the waterline. Watch for strong lateral current as NW winds build, and strictly follow the local maritime authority's summer buoy rules.
