A car is needed for gear; extensive paid public street and club parking along the lungomare. Staging is strictly limited to authorized beach clubs (bagni) with active sports zones.
HazardsThe coastline is backed by beach umbrellas, concrete piers, and long stone jetties protecting the harbor mouth — genuinely no room for launch errors. Kitesurfing here is actively restricted by local maritime authorities to specific club channels for clearing the crowded swimmer zones.
Best time of dayMorning, when the NE Bora blows across the Adriatic, or afternoon for a lighter thermal Scirocco from the SE. Morning Bora sessions bring the most power and wave action, needing solid physical conditioning and upwind skill.
