Getting thereTake the St. Blaise highway exit, then follow signs toward the port at one of the roundabouts — there's a large parking lot directly at the spot.
HazardsThe launch area sits in the lee of the harbor structure and is genuinely gusty right at the shore — conditions improve further out. Always have a helper watch your launch and landing. This spot is popular enough that it's repeatedly at risk of closure — take crowding and mutual courtesy seriously here.
Best time of daySW is clearly the best direction, arguably among the best SW conditions in Switzerland, with real waves to ride. If wind swings to W it crosses the Jura first and gets gusty — better to head to Portalban on the opposite shore in that case.
