Getting thereSouthwestern Sardinia, about 1 hour from Cagliari Elmas Airport (CAG) via the SS130. A car is mandatory for this remote point near San Giovanni Suergiu; a public lot sits near the small harbor, with a short 5-minute walk along a dirt path to the grassy kite launch.
HazardsA vast, knee-deep flat-water lagoon — hydrofoil riders should stay within the deep navigation channel to avoid destroying foils on the shallow mudbanks. Local rules designate specific teaching zones to prevent tangles and keep clear of the active boat channel.
