Getting thereJust 25 minutes north of Palermo Falcone-Borsellino Airport (PMO) via the E90. A car helps for gear, but the spot gets highly congested — paid municipal street parking is genuinely hard to find in summer. Main access is the sandy crescent bay near the local surf and sailing clubs.
HazardsIn summer the beach is completely packed with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and swimmers, making kite launching both legally prohibited and physically impossible from the beach — this isn't a minor inconvenience, plan around it entirely. Autumn or spring shoulder seasons are the realistic window; keep a safe distance from the concrete piers and anchored boats.
Best time of dayMorning to midday, autumn through spring, when strong N or NE frontal winds blow directly into the bay — good waves and clean shore tracking, free of the summer tourist crowds.
