Getting thereAbout 1h15 south of Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) via the SS148 Pontina. A car is needed; paid street parking along the lungomare. Main launches center on the seasonal kite zones on the long sandy beach.
HazardsWooden and stone groynes built into the sand to prevent erosion pose a real impact hazard if you drift downwind onto one. Use the regulated summer kite school lanes strictly — launching outside them is both illegal and genuinely risky given heavy summer swimming crowds.
