Getting thereFollow signs for Ipsach from Biel, then turn toward the lake at the sports-field sign (Restaurant Chrueg), then left at the Cruchon sign to the water sports center — paid parking right there.
HazardsTwo trees sit right at the kite launch (west side of the sports center) and make life harder on setup, though manageable for an experienced rider. Being able to hold height matters a lot here — if you drift downwind, getting out is genuinely tricky given the trees, boats, reeds and swimming areas in that direction, so solid self-rescue skills are essential. A no-go zone toward Biel covers essentially everything NE of the launch — respect it.
Best time of dayWorks on both Bise and west wind, though Bise runs weaker here than on Lake Neuchâtel, so SW-W is generally the better bet. Look for about 10kt in the regional forecast either way to reach a fun 15kt on-site.
