Getting thereAbout 190km northwest of Fortaleza Airport (FOR), a 2.5-3 hour drive via the CE-085. A car is necessary for gear; free parking directly on the wide sandy beach in front of local kite pousadas or along village tracks. The main bay in front of the club wind and kite centers gives the best access.
HazardsA safe sand bottom in the wide crescent bay, but localized rock formations expose at low tide near the western point. Watch for real lateral current sweeping downwind, and the wind can turn slightly gusty near shore from the dense coconut groves.
Best time of dayAfternoon, August-December, when trades curve smoothly cross-shore with local thermal building. Mid-to-high tide gives wide, forgiving flat water with minimal wave interference.
