Getting thereAbout 40km northwest of Fortaleza's Pinto Martins Airport, roughly 50 minutes by car or airport transfer. A car or beach buggy is ideal for exploring the region; free parking directly on the sand or at beachfront pousadas. The beach in front of town or downwind toward Cauípe Lagoon are the main access points.
HazardsThe ocean has a strong shorebreak and powerful longshore current constantly dragging riders downwind. Cauípe Lagoon gets genuinely crowded with pro and learning kiters together — strict right-of-way awareness and extra caution matter for true beginners in that tight space.
Best time of dayAfternoon, July-January, when SE trades accelerate with daytime thermal conditions for the cleanest angles. Sunset sessions bring excellent wind stability and views over the dunes.
