A quiet village at the French border on Lake Geneva's south shore, best when the wind swings southwest โ€” where Geneva locals head when Vengeron's Bise isn't blowing.

Good to know

Getting thereFrom Geneva head toward Thonon, turning left toward Hermance. In the village, go left at the fountain in the center. Follow the road to the campsite โ€” the spot is right beside it. For parking, continue a bit further to the primary school and park there.
HazardsStay 100m clear of the shore and harbor. Trees and the campsite sit close behind the launch area, worth being mindful of. Waves here are choppier and less clean than the nearby Exenevex spot on the French side. Gather your lines when back on land, and know self-rescue before heading out โ€” this applies broadly to Lake Geneva spots.
Best time of dayKnown for reliable Bise (N-NE) wind, fairly consistent and among the strongest on the lake since it's channeled near Geneva. Roughly an 8-10kt forecast for the area translates to about 15kt on-site.
