Getting thereFly into Enfidha-Hammamet (NBE) and take a 35-minute taxi or drive northeast via the A1 to the Hammamet North hotel district. A car helps but taxis are easy; free parking along public beach access lanes near local hotels. Wider sandy stretches north of the historic Medina wall are the best launch.
HazardsModerate shorebreak with a fast drop-off close to shore โ solid self-rescue skills matter here. Stay clear of the historic fortress rock walls to the south, which create real wind shadows and turbulent chop in southerly wind. July/August bring heavy tourist crowds and sunbed fields that eat into launching space.
Best time of dayLate afternoon, May-September, when the daily thermal sea breeze sets in from the E-SE for consistent side-onshore conditions. A clear regional pressure gradient is what actually fills the wind in cleanly.
