The flat northern head of Lake Como at Gera Lario, where the watersports centre sits on a shallow sandy bottom that makes walking in easy — a run start rather than a dock start. Changing rooms with toilets and showers, lockers, a bar, a tourist harbour and plenty of parking; courts and a playground on the grass. Open April to September. Lake rules: boards from an hour after sunrise to sunset, approved life jacket mandatory, 10 m between riders, and keep off the ferry routes and out of the ports.
