Getting thereNorthern outskirts of Tunis, about 20 minutes from Tunis-Carthage International Airport (TUN). A car or city taxi provides easy transit; paid and free street parking spanning the urban corniche road outside the luxury hotels. The sandy public beachfront gives direct access.
HazardsGenuinely congested with local beachgoers, sunbeds, and hotel swimming zones in peak summer, making kite launching heavily restricted near the promenade. Watch for concrete sea defense blocks, old metal pipes hidden just beneath the surface, and real wind shadows close to shore.
Best time of dayAfternoon, once solar heating over the northern plains peaks to draw in a stable NE sea breeze. Summer afternoons give the cleanest wind, well past the outer resort structures.
