Getting thereEastern coast of the UAE, about 1.5 hours from Dubai International Airport (DXB) via the Sharjah-Kalba road. A car is needed for gear; free parking in the dirt and sand along the Aqah beach promenade. The wide beach near the local diving centers gives the primary access.
HazardsFaces the open Gulf of Oman with a real shorebreak at high tide and genuine open-ocean undercurrent. Watch for local high-speed dive boat traffic launching directly off the sand — no organized public safety rescue boat services on this stretch of coast.
