Getting thereAbout 35-40 minutes south of Dubai Marina, past the industrial port complex. A car is necessary for this remote coastal stretch; free parking directly on the gravel/sand flats adjacent to the open public beach, accessed via designated beach tracks off the main highway.
HazardsCompletely natural and undeveloped — no public amenities, lifeguards, or dedicated rescue craft on site. Stay well clear of localized shipping lanes and occasional jet ski traffic, and be mindful of changing tides altering the shoreline launch space. Mind the Turtles!
Best time of dayLate afternoon, when desert heat creates a sharp temperature differential with the Arabian Gulf to draw in a steady sea breeze. Also avoids the intense, unshaded midday sun. With a foil and 15m foil kite, one can ride almost every day of the year. Winter is better for TT, but good sessions can happen all year round.
