Good to know

Getting thereSouthern tip of Sardinia, about 50 minutes from Cagliari Elmas Airport (CAG) via the scenic SS195. A car is essential to move between bays; large paid lots right behind the dunes at Playa de Su Giudeu or Su Portu. The wide crescent beach at Su Giudeu is the primary access.
HazardsA real, heavy shorebreak at high tide plus genuine lateral rip that can drain energy fast. Watch for strong S or E storm events โ€” wind blows directly onshore then, deep water starts instantly, and there are no public rescue boat options.
Best time of dayMorning to early afternoon, autumn and spring, when strong low-pressure fronts blow cleanly across the coast. Early sessions get the most stable wind and cleanest wave faces before midday heat adds turbulence.
