Widely rated as Lebanon's best wave spot โ some call it the finest break in the Mediterranean. Summer brings moderate SW thermals, but it really comes alive outside summer when Mediterranean storm systems build real swell. Rocky, slippery launch โ not for beginners.

Getting thereAbout 50km north of Beirut International Airport, roughly 40 minutes via the coastal highway. A car is needed for the beach; free and paid parking along unpaved streets and gravel flats behind local beach clubs. Public pebble beaches or partner surf club launches are the primary entry.
HazardsSubmerged rocky reefs, concrete sea defense blocks, and a real shorebreak at high tide that slams against the rocky shoreline. Avoid this spot entirely during hard winter storms or high swell โ deep water starts instantly and a launching error washes you into jagged rocks.
Best time of dayAfternoon, once daily thermal heating builds the Mediterranean sea breeze to peak velocity. Summer afternoons give the most predictable side-onshore conditions and manageable chop away from the beach clubs.
