Getting thereRas Al Khaimah, about 1 hour from Dubai International Airport (DXB) via the E11 or E311. A car is needed; free parking on dirt/sand flats behind the Al Hamra residential marina beach stretch. The wide sandy beach near the sailing club is the best access.
HazardsArtificial rock breakwaters, luxury marina yacht traffic, and concrete beach walls create localized wind turbulence. Winter Shamal storms bring powerful onshore wind, low visibility, and heavy shorebreak — worth real caution then, not just awareness.
