The rowing club dock on the Urola estuary at Zumaia, on the Basque coast — a very low pontoon on sheltered tidal water, with a slipway alongside and a second wooden pier downstream towards the river mouth. Boat wakes rebound off the walls in the narrow bocana, which riders use rather than avoid. Tidal, so the state of the tide decides the session. Blue-zone paid parking by the club, free public showers in the town.
