Getting thereFly into Naha (OKA) on Okinawa and drive north 45-60 minutes to the Yomitan village area. Access is through the U.S. Military Torii Station base (requires military ID access) or via adjacent public paths at Tooguchi Beach β worth confirming current access rules before relying on base entry specifically. Free parking inside the base recreation area or at the public beach lot.
HazardsHeavily lined with sharp coral reef, volcanic rock, concrete wave breakers, and dense sea urchin colonies. Riding is only safe within a narrow high-tide window β falling at low tide means hitting exposed coral directly, so wear thick booties.
