Getting thereReach the island by car train (Niebüll) or ferry from Rømø (Denmark). Paid parking common near main beach accesses; free spots exist further out.
HazardsKitesurfing and wingsurfing are restricted to designated zones only under the NordSBefV national-park rules (Wadden Sea). Outside marked kite zones it is prohibited. Strong currents and tidal range on the east side; stay inside buoyed areas.
Best time of dayOn the east side (e.g. List Ellenbogen) only roughly ±3 hours around high water is practical and permitted in the designated zone.
