Getting thereEast side of Santander Bay (Ribamontán al Mar). Easy access, huge sandy beach with parking, schools and facilities right on the spot.
HazardsBeach-break waves and currents (stronger with swell). Crowds of surfers in the central zone — kiters usually use the left side. Shipwreck visible at low tide. Generally beginner-friendly in lighter conditions.
Best time of dayYear-round. Best with NE onshore (13–18 kn typical). Flat inside the bay or gentle waves on the open beach.
