Getting thereWithin The Hague, about 40 minutes from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS). Public transit is an option, though a car is preferred for heavy gear; paid municipal street and garage parking along the Strandweg promenade. The dedicated, clearly marked wind sports zone near the northern harbor breakwater mole is the main legal access.
HazardsFaces the open North Sea with a real, heavy dumping shorebreak, big rolling wave sets, and genuine tidal rip current tracking along the concrete harbor mole rock walls. Avoid this spot entirely during hard onshore wind events — no public rescue boat network on site.
