Good to know

Getting thereJust 15 minutes south of Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC) via the N-332 coastal road. A car is necessary; free and paid parking at Playa Lisa or near the salt pans (Salinas). The Gran Playa or Playa Lisa kite zone is the primary, closely regulated staging ground.
HazardsWater is very shallow for several hundred meters — great for beginners, but a real hazard for hydrofoils hitting the sandy bottom. Environmental protections around the salt flats mean riding is strictly limited to the official club-managed zone; unauthorized launching is a genuine legal issue here, not just discouraged.
Best time of dayAfternoon, as the daily thermal (Mestral or Garbí) builds over the warm, shallow bay. Midday to late afternoon gives the most consistent side-onshore breeze and the best flat-water conditions over the shallow shelf.
