Getting thereAbout 1h15 from İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB) via the O-32 to Çeşme. A car is required; paid and free dirt lots behind the dunes at Pırlanta Beach. The beach in front of the local kiteboarding schools is the primary entry.
HazardsA vast, knee-deep standing area extends nearly 250m out — genuinely safe for training. Watch for real wind chop building with strong cross-onshore wind, and stay clear of drifting toward the rocky headlands on the bay's western edge.
Best time of dayAfternoon, June-September, when the Meltemi gets accelerated by daytime thermal conditions across the bay. Peaks post-midday for steady side-onshore tracking over the shallow emerald water.
