Getting there1 hour from Dalaman Airport (DLM) or 1h15 from Bodrum Airport (BJV) via the D400. A car is recommended; a large dedicated paid municipal dirt lot behind the kite beach line. The 3km sandy kite beach at the end of the eucalyptus valley trail is the primary, highly organized launch site.
HazardsA vast, forgiving shallow sandy zone that's genuinely excellent for beginners. Strictly follow the local rules separating training sections from advanced riding lanes, and watch for hidden muddy holes and dense crowds in peak summer.
Best time of dayAfternoon, May-September, when the thermal engine drives a flawless, predictable cross-onshore breeze — typically on by 11:30am and peaking late afternoon. Genuinely steady thanks to thermal funneling through the Gökova gulf valley.
