Free lakeside park at the north-east corner of the Starnberger See, with a public Steg by the Wasserwacht station and steps off it into the water. Public Stege are rare on this lake, which is why riders use this one. It can run shallow — in a low-water autumn the start gets awkward and people resort to throwing the board in and jumping after it. Entry free, parking limited and paid, restaurant and kiosk on the grass. Gets very crowded in good weather.
