Getting thereOcean side of the Dakhla peninsula, just 10 minutes north of Dakhla Airport (VIL). A car or taxi is needed; free dirt parking sits directly on the cliff edge overlooking the point break, with a steep walking path down to the sandy launch bay.
HazardsA pure wave spot with a powerful Atlantic shorebreak and real point-break current sweeping riders downwind along the cliffs. Genuinely not for true beginners β wind blows side-offshore, deep water starts instantly, and there are no rescue boats on the wave side at all.
Best time of dayAfternoon, when NW trades align with the desert's thermal draw for clean tracking across the point. Time sessions with a rising mid-tide for the most organized wave faces, clear of the exposed rocks at the point.
