Getting thereNear the Salamandre harbor district, about 15 minutes south of Mostaganem city center or 1 hour east of Oran Airport (ORN). A car is needed; free parking in the large asphalt lots along the waterfront corniche. The wide sandy stretch is the primary launch.
HazardsBounded by artificial rock walls, harbor jetties, and heavy local crowds on summer weekends. Competent upwind steering matters to avoid getting dragged into the sharp harbor pier rocks, especially during building westerly swells.
