A coastal town near the Tunisian border, part of Algeria's less-documented eastern coastline. Algeria's kitesurf scene has far less online coverage than its neighbors โ treat conditions here as a general regional estimate rather than spot-verified detail.

Getting thereAbout 1.5 hours east of Annaba Rabah Bitat Airport (AAE), roughly 20 minutes from the Tunisian border via the N44. A car is completely necessary for this wild coastline; free dirt parking behind the sand dunes at Plage El Mordjane. The wide public crescent near the edge of the national park is the primary entry.
HazardsBordered by a rugged rocky coastline with hidden underwater reefs downwind of the main bay. No localized safety rescue crafts or specialized kite schools here at all โ expect a notable shorebreak during strong NW wind.
Best time of dayAfternoon, when the Mediterranean thermal reinforces the prevailing NNW wind. Peaks post-midday as the hot interior terrain drives strong thermal suction across the coast.
