A remote stretch of Masirah's coastline, even by the island's own standards โ€” flat water and Khareef wind with essentially no one else around.

Good to know

Getting thereRemote southwestern tip of Masirah Island, requiring a 4x4 for the unpaved beach tracks and soft dunes past Ghab. No paved roads reach the spot directly; free off-road parking right next to the wild sandy clearings. The expansive shoreline gives an unobstructed launch.
HazardsA fully open ocean setting with a real shorebreak and undercurrent that strengthens during summer monsoon tides. Watch for sharp volcanic reef shelves hidden just below the surface close to shore โ€” this is a highly remote zone with no rescue services.
Best time of dayAfternoon, June-August, when the peak summer monsoon delivers strong, dense cross-shore wind. Late afternoon gives the most powerful, consistent wind and cleanest wave faces for advanced riders.
