Getting thereAbout 30 minutes from Dalaman Airport (DLM), by car via a winding mountain road from Dalyan or by a scenic public riverboat. Paid parking at the official municipal lot at the southern beach entrance. The designated water sports zone at the southern tip is the only legal launch area.
HazardsThis is a strictly protected, government-regulated nesting site for the endangered loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta), and the rules are actively enforced, not just posted: the beach is legally closed to the public from 8pm to 8am, May through September, with a recent (2026) nationwide crackdown setting fines from roughly 699,000 up to over 2,000,000 Turkish lira for institutional violations. Stay well clear of marked nesting zones and public swimming areas, and watch for strong open-sea undercurrents.
