Good to know

Getting thereAbout 1h15 from Bodrum-Milas Airport (BJV) or 1.5 hours from İzmir Airport via the Söke-Didim road. A car is essential for this remote point; free parking on the dirt clearings adjacent to the Radical Kite Zone beach. The wide, uncrowded sandy spit is the primary rigging area.
HazardsCoarse sand and small pebbles slope off into deep water channels past the inner sand shelf. Watch for genuinely strong, strictly offshore wind angles during peak northerly fronts — a pre-arranged rescue boat with the local school is essential, not optional, here.
Best time of dayMorning through midday for the cleanest, most powerful Meltemi, blowing side-offshore for glass-flat speed strips on the leeward side of the point. Late afternoon gives lighter, more manageable chop for intermediate freeriders.
