Good to know

Getting thereNorthern tip of Fuerteventura, about 35 minutes from Fuerteventura Airport (FUE) via the FV-1. A car is highly recommended; free parking along the dirt shoulders of the main dunes highway next to Flag Beach. The sandy entry next to the local Flag Beach Windsurf & Kitesurf Centre is the primary access.
HazardsA continuous, sharp volcanic rock reef platform runs parallel to the shoreline, genuinely dangerous for fins and feet at low tide. Time sessions precisely with high tide, wear booties, and watch for cross-shore tidal current developing past the reef line.
Best time of dayThree hours either side of high tide, for enough depth to clear the volcanic rocks safely. Afternoon, April-September, when trades get a thermal boost along the dunes coast.
