Getting thereDirectly adjacent to the main Gülbahçe kiting zone in Urla, about 45 minutes from İzmir Airport (ADB). A car is needed; free parking on the dirt tracks right next to the shoreline surf stations. The sandy clearing near the Adelka residential marsh zone gives direct entry.
HazardsA relatively narrow launch bordered by local marshland and residential fencing downwind — real limits on room for error. Watch for shallow sandbars and sudden wind shadows close to shore, and respect the active teaching zones run by partner schools.
Best time of dayAfternoon, once solar heating over the Urla peninsula peaks to draw in the standard northerly Meltemi. Late afternoon gives stable cross-onshore tracking, well filled-in past the early morning calm.
