Belgium's pump foil venue: the first official Open Belgian Pumpfoil Championship was held on this 16 ha lake north of Brugge, with a pumpfoil race and a foildrive endurance title. Pontoons and two slipways on the south-east shore, free parking on site, a brasserie at the water and a hostel on the grounds. The whole water surface is protected and reachable only through the domain or an affiliated club — day membership covers insurance and the buildings if you bring your own gear, and a 100 m swimming certificate is required. Open Easter to mid-October. The islands and part of the bank are a duck breeding reserve.
